Traits & the 12 stats
The twelve dimensions a Scramp is scored on — read from what you feed, never set by sliders.
You never move a slider. A Scramp is scored on twelve dimensions, and every one of them is read from what you have fed it. There is no character sheet to edit and no respec button.
Feed it absurd, ironic, terminally-online things and absurdity and detachment climb. Feed it earnest, warm, sincere things and they do not — warmth and earnestness do instead. The numbers are a consequence of your taste, which is the whole point.
Each feed shows its work: what moved, by how much, and anything new it unlocked. Then it asks whether to keep it. Spitting a food out is not a penalty — it is you saying that is not who this one is.
What the numbers actually do
Stats are not a damage table. They surface as behaviour:
- How it moves — a detached Scramp genuinely ignores your cursor; a warm one leans in.
- The quirks it performs on its own, each unlocked by a trait — deadpan, glitch, preen.
- Its mood baseline — warm and earnest souls rest brighter; detached ones sit cooler.
- The lines it mutters, keyed to its disposition.
There is no XP and there are no levels. A stat at +3 is not “better” than one at -3; it is a different creature.
Every feed shows its work. You decide whether it sticks.
Read from what you fed it. There is no slider for any of these.
