Care & mood

One mood — not a hunger bar. It ebbs while you're away and brightens when you tend it.

Left alone, it settles down and sleeps.

There is no hunger bar. A Scramp keeps a single mood, and that is the whole of it — no stamina, no cleanliness, no timers stacking up while you are asleep.

Mood drifts down while you are away — even with the app closed — toward a baseline set by its soul. Warm, earnest souls rest brighter; detached ones settle cooler. So the same neglect reads differently on two different Scramps, which is the point.

Tending it

Pet it, feed it, keep it company while you work. It brightens. Come back after a long absence and it greets you rather than sulking — the design will not punish you for having a life.

Nothing here can be failed. There is no death, no decay state, and no guilt mechanic; a Scramp you ignored for a month is exactly as recoverable as one you saw yesterday.
